Border States Electric Supply, Fargo, N.D., has expanded in Wyoming with the purchase of Miller Electric Supply Inc. of Gillette, Wyo.

Miller Electric Supply will operate under the name of Border States Electric Supply and marks the 24th branch location for the Fargo, N.D.-based company.

Al Miller, formerly the president of Miller Electric Supply, will be the branch manager during the transition. All current Miller Electric employees have been offered a position with Border States.

Border States Electric Supply was founded in 1952 to serve the electrical utility industry. Today, the company distributes products to the construction, industrial, utility and communications markets. Border States Electric Supply is an employee-owned company with over 650 employees in 11 states and Mexico.

Miller Electric Supply was founded in 1985 by Al Miller and serves the construction and industrial markets with 10 employees.
