Hughes Supply Inc., Orlando, Fla., has completed the acquisition of Century Maintenance Supply Inc. for $360 million in cash.

The acquisition is aimed at making Hughes a leader in the apartment maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) market, enabling it to more effectively serve national property management companies throughout the United States and facilitating its entry into other adjacent MRO markets.

Century is one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing distributors of MRO products to property management companies in the United States. Its nationwide distribution network includes 39 branches in major metropolitan markets in 35 states.

Hughes Supply has approximately 460 locations in 34 states.
