Con Edison Gathers Three Businesses into One, Expands Wind

Through its three subsidiaries, the new company develops, owns and operates renewable and energy infrastructure assets and provides energy-related products and services to wholesale and retail customers.

Consolidated Edison, Inc., Valhalla, NY, has created a new holding company, Con Edison Clean Energy Businesses, Inc., that brings together its three existing businesses in America’s competitive energy marketplace: Con Edison Solutions, Con Edison Development and Con Edison Energy.

Through its three subsidiaries, the new company develops, owns and operates renewable and energy infrastructure assets and provides energy-related products and services to wholesale and retail customers. Mark Noyes serves as CEO and president of the three clean energy businesses, which are all co-located in Valhalla. James Dixon will serve as senior vice president and COO.

In other news, ConEdison Development recently acquired Juhl Energy Services Inc.’s development pipeline of wind projects and portfolio of operating projects.  Juhl Energy is a provider of clean energy solutions and a pioneer in community wind power. Juhl has an interest in a portfolio of three operating wind projects with a total capacity of 36 megawatts (MW) located in Minnesota and Iowa. ConEdison Development also acquired Juhl Energy’s operating and maintenance (O&M) services business, which supports 10 individual projects, and its interest in a pipeline of wind projects of approximately 500 MW in the Midwest.
