ERP software provider Infor, New York, agreed to purchase the assets of Saleslogix, Scottsdale, Ariz., a provider of SaaS customer relationship management (CRM) software. Once the deal’s done, Saleslogix’s CRM platform will become Infor CRM, giving Infor a position in the cloud-based CRM market, and adding sales and service functionality to Infor CloudSuite.

Infor said it plans a major investment in the product to enhance scalability, improve its user interface and add industry-specific functionality. Infor and Saleslogix have 300 mutual customers among the 1,700 organizations using Saleslogix CRM. Infor said it will also continue to support and enhance Inforce, its in-house CRM solution built on Force.com, that joins Infor’s back-office ERP and Financial applications with Salesforce.com.
