Leviton Manufacturing Co., Little Neck, N.Y., has acquired the structured wiring division of the Atlanta-based Listman Home Technologies, a developer of home networking and automations systems.
Leviton Integrated Networks, the company’s structured wiring division, will assume responsibility for Listman’s inventory and service centers. Leviton will also now support Masco Contractor Services, Listman’s existing distribution partner.
Listman’s home control and automation systems are built on open-platform standards, and integrate legacy standards such as X-10 for lighting control and emerging standards such as Universal Plug and Play in home automation.
Daryoush Larizadeh, vice president of strategic business enterprises for Leviton Manufacturing, said, “This agreement increases Leviton’s distribution in the residential structured wiring marketplace through Listman’s installation relationship with Masco Contractor Services. It also enhances our offering with Listman’s sophisticated software that registers contractors and tracks the installation quality.”

The acquisition of Listman comes just a couple months after Leviton announced that it was withdrawing from the purchase of OnQ Technologies Inc.
