IDEA and Affiliated Distributors (A-D) announced that they are teaming up on an exclusive pilot program to improve data synchronization in the electrical industry.

IDEA, an e-commerce service provider based in Arlington, Va., and co-owned by the electrical industry’s largest manufacturer and distributor associations, will assist A-D members with recommendations on improving their synchronization processes.

IDEA has been working with four members of the Wayne, Pa.-based marketing group for 60 days to define the scope of the program, which is exclusive to A-D for the 2009 calendar year.

IDEA said it will introduce the program industry-wide after the A-D pilot program is completed.
