In a move to enhance its position in energy-use measurement and verification markets, Leviton Manufacturing Co., Melville, N.Y., has acquired Obvius, a manufacturer of hardware solutions to collect energy information. Obvius products offer data acquisition, wireless communications, energy dashboard software and plug-and-play hardware solutions. Leviton said the Obvius acquisition will enable it to offer customers a complete line of lighting and energy management solutions, adding measurement and verification to its existing smart metering, energy data information, load management and LEED rating offerings.
