Springfield Electric Supply acquires Heintz Electric

Springfield Electric Supply Co. has purchased the assets of Heintz Electric Co., Quincy, Ill. Locations acquired include Quincy; Hannibal, Mo.; and Keokuk, Iowa. Springfield Electric, headquartered in Springfield, Ill., now has 16 branch operations. Next year will mark SESCO’s 80th anniversary and they are ranked as one of the 50 largest electrical distributors in the United States. Springfield Electric traces its roots to William R. Schnirring, Sr., who established the company in 1932. The company is a partial ESOP with over 275 associate owners.
