A new line of portable power tools by Milwaukee Electric Tool sports a new mega-battery that produces 28V. The manufacturer claims the V28 line of lithium-ion batteries doubles the run time of its 18V models at about the same weight.
In a March 7 National Home Center Newsreport, Dave Zelis, the hardware and tool buyer for Ace Hardware said the V28 line is “the truest and most significant innovation in power tools in a very long time.” According to the company, the V28 line will be available in second-quarter 2005 and will include a band saw, hammer-drill, circular saw, Sawzall reciprocating saw, impact wrench, work light and battery charger.
