Cape Electrical Supply, Cape Girardeau, Mo., has purchased Electrical Sales Engineering (ESE), a utility products distributor based in Bowling Green, Ky.
ESE has been in business for more than 45 years with a customer base that includes rural electrical cooperatives, investor owned utility companies, municipalities, and power generation facilities across Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee. Company founder and president R.W. (Bob) Armstrong will continue to lead ESE.
Electrical Sales Engineering will continue to operate from Bowling Green, and becomes a dedicated utility distributor among Cape Electric’s existing 18 locations in a market area that includes parts of Missouri, Kentucky, Illinois, Tennessee, and Indiana. Based in Cape Girardeau, Mo., for 55 years, Cape Electrical Supply is a full service electrical distributor with a market presence in commercial, industrial, residential, utility, and communication products.
“Adding a company with the strength of Electrical Sales Engineering to our business will make us a more well rounded supplier,” said Cape Electric President Allen Toole. “We are very bullish about the prospects for the electrical utility industry over the next several years. Toole added that Cape Electric is impressed with ESE’s capabilities in rural markets, which closely mirrors Cape Electric’s own business strategy.
