Eaton Renames Industrial and Commercial Controls Business

Eaton Corp., Cleveland, has renamed its Industrial and Commercial Controls business to Eaton Electrical. The Eaton organizational unit, formerly known as the Cutler-Hammer Group, also will be named Eaton Electrical.

“The Eaton Electrical name allows us to emphasize the company’s solid reputation on a global scale, reinforcing our rich history and leading position in the electrical business,” said Randy Carson, Eaton senior vice president and group executive for Eaton Electrical. “Our product brands Cutler-Hammer, Heinemann, MEM, Holec and others will be able to grow under the Eaton Electrical group umbrella. We recognize the strong awareness of these brands and will continue using them in our products, marketing and sales efforts.”

Eaton Corp., which has 51,000 employees and sells products in more than 50 countries, had 2002 sales of $7.2 billion. The company has manufacturing and sales operations in North America, Latin America, Western Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
