FMI Sees Construction Growth In 2004-2007
While the construction industry continues to struggle to recover
from the recession, a report issued by FMI Corp., Raleigh, N.C., sees
some steady increases for this year and solid increases for some market
segments in 2005.
The recently released report, The 2003-2004 U.S. Markets
Construction Update, notes that although the value of construction
spending rose in 2003, the industry continued to experience softness in
some sectors. Despite this, FMI’s outlook for 2004 is positive.
FMI believes the construction industry is on track for a stable —
though not necessarily spectacular — recovery during 2004.
