Although 70 percent of the annual snowfall in the United States falls between December and February, research indicates only 18 percent of adults living in storm-prone areas describe themselves as “very prepared” for a natural disaster such as a winter storm, according to Grainger, Lincolnshire, Ill.

Seeing opportunity in the other 82 percent, Grainger has launched a campaign to help organizations throughout North America prepare for the upcoming winter storm season. The company’s winter storm program includes a 12-page Winter Storm Preparedness Guide and a dedicated web site, www.grainger.com/winterprep, to educate customers and mitigate some of the potential dangers caused by winter storms.
