Graybar Among America’s Most Admired Companies
Graybar, St. Louis, achieved a high ranking on Fortune magazine’s annual "America’s Most Admired Companies" list for the fifth consecutive year.
To compile the 2005 list, Fortune magazine’s survey partner, the Hay Group, surveyed 10,000 executives, directors and analysts across the country. To create the industry listing, participants were asked to rank companies within their industry category according to eight criteria: innovation; ability to attract, develop and keep talented people; use of corporate assets; social responsibility; quality of management; financial soundness; long-term investment value; and quality of products and services. Graybar placed third in the category "Wholesalers: Electronics and Office Equipment" within the industry listing. The of Fortune’s March 6 issue included the listing.
