Hammond Manufacturing, Cheektowago, N.Y., has taken a significant equity stake in Ritec Enclosures, a Taiwan-based manufacturer of similar products. As the first tangible result of the new arrangement, Hammond will distribute Ritec products in North America and Europe, while Ritec Enclosures, which has a strong presence throughout the Far East and China, will become a key distributor for the Hammond product range in the region. Ritec’s products fit with Hammond’s own manufactured product portfolio, offering different size options across the spectrum of metal and plastic enclosures manufactured by both companies. The Hammond range is increased by more than 250 individual line items. The Ritec family includes hand-held and instrument enclosures molded in ABS and polycarbonate for use as instrument housings, switch enclosures, medical equipment, communications equipment, control devices and similar applications.
