L&R Anixter Foundation Donates $100,000 to NAED Education & Research Foundation
The National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED), St.
Louis, has received a $100,000 contribution from the L & R Anixter
Foundation of Chicago, to the NAED Education & Research
Foundation.
“This is an opportunity to give back to the industry in the
memory of my uncle and aunt, Lester and Rosalie Anixter,” said
Steven Anixter, a director of the L & R Anixter Foundation and
president and CEO of Advance Electrical Supply Co. in Chicago.
“The electrical industry has been my family’s business for
three generations, since my grandfather founded Englewood Electric
Supply in 1919, 84 years ago. The industry has provided us with many
happy, satisfying times as well as a good living and many great
relationships. We couldn’t think of a better way to express our
appreciation to the industry.”
