Harold Kerman, 91, Former CEO of Steiner Electric Co., Elk Grove Village, Ill., passed away earlier this week. He was the husband of Joan Barbara (née Steiner) Kerman; son of the late George and Frieda Kerman; father of Robert (Diane) Kerman and Richard (Carol) Kerman; and grandfather of John (Aga) Kerman, Kyle Pucek, Joseph Kerman, Laura Jane (Eric) Meyer, Jacob, Adam, Jason Zimmerly and Josh Kerman.

Stuart M. Irby, 58, The Jackson Clarion-Ledger reported that Stuart M. Irby, former president of Stuart C. Irby Co., was found dead in his home Jan. 17. The paper says his death is considered a suicide. He guided the company, founded by his grandfather, from 1984 to 2005, when it was sold to Sonepar.

His obituary in the Jackson Clarion-Ledger said he is survived by his son, Stuart M. Irby, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Little Rock, Ark.; Miss Natalie Irby of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Graham Irby of Jackson. Irby is also survived by his grandson, Jacob Irby of Little Rock, Ark.; his sister, Margaret Irby of New York; brothers, Charles Irby, Sr. (Kate) of Nashville; Joseph Irby (Diane) of Little Rock; and Richard W. Irby (Rachael) of Tryon, N.C.

Irby was known throughout the Jackson, Miss., area for his support of numerous charities and civic groups, and in the electrical industry for his volunteer efforts with the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) and IDEA.
