Zach Gibler, CEO, Lighting Science Group Corp., Satellite Beach, Fla., died in a bicycling accident on Sunday, Jan. 2. The article said Richard Weinberg, a member of the company's board of directors and a co-managing director at Pegasus Capital Advisors, the majority shareholder in Lighting Science, will now assume the chairman's duties.

Edward C. Carroll passed away on Nov. 29, 2010. Carroll spent more than 40 years in the wire and cable business in marketing and was most recently with Tappan Wire and Cable, N.Y. He was formerly with General Electric and General Cable. Carroll was the husband of Lin Ermelin, and father of Ryan. He grew up in Connecticut and graduated from Sacred Heart University. The consummate Boston Red Sox and Green Bay Packers fan, Carroll will be missed by the company, not only for his sense of humor but moreover, as a deep well of wire technology knowledge.
