Philips Lighting Company, a division of Royal Philips Electronics (Somerset, N.J.): Robert A. Taylor has been appointed senior vice president and general manager of consumer lighting. In this role, he will oversee all aspects of consumer lighting market operations. In addition, Taylor is charged with furthering Philips Lighting’s current retail strategy and expanding the company’s relationships with food, drug and mass merchant retail outlets. This position represents a shift in Taylor’s responsibilities, having worked for Royal Philips Electronics for more than 10 years. Prior to becoming senior vice president, he was Norelco’s director of sales for two years before advancing to vice president of sales in 1991.
Quality Lighting, a division of the JJI Lighting Group Inc. (Franklin Park, Ill.): Brian Deady has been named director of sales. He has overall responsibility for sales and marketing of the company’s products throughout the United States and Canada. He served most recently as director of key distributor accounts for Cooper Lighting.
Heyco Products Inc. (Toms River, N.J.): Victor C. P. Tai has been appointed the company’s first sales manager for Asia, for the stamped products line. He will be responsible for developing customer relationships and sales for stamped electrical components, and working with manufacturers of electrical cords and cordsets. Tai most recently served as senior sales manager at Cosmos Machinery International Ltd., where he was responsible for four sales departments and seven major sales offices in mainland China.
A.O. Smith Electrical Products Co. (Tipp City, Ohio): Christopher Ruttle has joined the manufacturer of electric motors as its senior vice president-global sales and marketing. Ruttle succeeds Paul Doyle, who will retire at the end of 2003 after more than 37 years with the company. Ruttle comes to A.O. Smith after 24 years with GE Industrial Systems, where in his most recent position he was integration leader-sales and marketing.
NESCO Inc. (Canton, Mass.): Nancy Ramdon joins NESCO as manager - business development in NESCO’s new West Coast office in San Francisco. Ramdon is a 15-year veteran in the national account marketplace.
Hubbell Inc. (Orange, Conn.): The board of directors has elected Richard Swift to the board. Swift is chairman of the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council, which advises the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) on matters pertaining to the establishment of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Zeller Corp. (Rochester, N.Y.): Dan Shaughnessy has been named branch manager of Zeller’s Syracuse office. Shaughnessy was previously product specialist manager. Brian Blaisdell is also joining the Syracuse team. Blaisdell comes to Zeller from Square D and will work with customers regarding applications for controls, power distribution and drives. The Syracuse office has a staff of five engineers.
Middle Atlantic Products Inc. (Riverdale, N.J.): Diane Cote has joined the company as western regional sales manager. She will work to increase the specification position of the company’s low-voltage mounting solutions by working closely with architects, consultants, contractors and end users as well as with manufacturers’ reps and distributors. Cote was most recently western regional sales leader for APW.
E-MON L.P. (Langhorne, Pa.): Eugene C. Foley Jr. has been appointed to fill the company’s newly created federal facilities manager position. Based in the Washington, D.C., area, his responsibilities will include developing and implementing marketing and educational programs, targeting federal energy managers, to drive submeter sales through local distributors supported by the company’s sales representative network. Before joining E-MON, Foley’s 20 years of industry experience includes a number of management and consulting positions with FEMP, DOE, EPA, FTC, the California Energy Commission, the Texas legislature, the Alliance to Save Energy, as well as other national and international agencies.
