Cooper Industries Ltd. (Houston): Designed to advance the company’s commercial presence in international growth markets, Cooper Industries has made two executive appointments.

Cooper Industries Ltd. (Houston): Designed to advance the company’s commercial presence in international growth markets, Cooper Industries has made two executive appointments. Grant L. Gawronski has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president, international operations, responsible for implementing strategies to expand Cooper’s customer base in Asia, Mexico and Central and South America. Gawronski also will continue to lead Cooper’s company-wide strategic sourcing and manufacturing technology improvement efforts. Gawronski joined Cooper in 2002 as vice president, manufacturing services. Additionally, J. Eric Scrimshaw has been appointed president, Cooper Europe. Scrimshaw will continue to work to leverage the company’s considerable commercial and manufacturing strength in the United Kingdom and Western Europe. Scrimshaw will also have responsibility for the commercial oversight of Cooper’s growth activities in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Most recently, Scrimshaw was president, Cooper Menvier, and executive director, Cooper Europe.

The National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED, St. Louis): NAED has named Bill Elliott, president of Elliott Electric Supply, Nacogdoches, Texas, as the incoming chair-elect of the NAED board of directors. Elliott will serve as chair-elect in 2004-2005, preparing to lead the NAED board of directors in 2005-2006.

Philips Automotive Lighting North America (Detroit): A division of Philips Electronics North America, Philips Automotive Lighting North America recently appointed David Davoudi as vice president and general manager. In this role, Davoudi will manage all aspects of lighting market operations. Davoudi has worked for Royal Philips Electronics for more than 10 years, most recently as general manager of the division.

Leviton Manufacturing (Little, Neck, N.Y.): Joel Manjarris has been appointed lighting controls sales specialist and will focus on the Texas market, specifically Austin, San Antonio, Dallas and Houston. Arriving at Leviton with a strong background in the lighting control and electrical contracting industries, Manjarris formerly owned and served as president of LLM Corp., a subsidiary of ERT Lighting and Sales Inc.

Federal Signal Corp. (Oak Brook, Ill.) Alexander D. Craig has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president and chief information officer. Craig comes to Federal Signal from Williams International, where he held the position of vice president business, strategy and information technology.

Noland Co. (Newport News, Va.): The company’s board of directors has elected Roger E. “Eddie” Gibbs vice president of sourcing. Gibbs joined Noland early in 2003 and was named director of souring in June 2003. Prior to joining Noland, Gibbs spent nearly 30 years with Hughes Supply Co.
