Hubbell Inc. (Orange, Conn.): Bob Murphy has been promoted to executive vice president, marketing and sales.

Hubbell Inc. (Orange, Conn.): Bob Murphy has been promoted to executive vice president, marketing and sales. He was previously senior group vice president of Hubbell Wiring System’s platform in Milford, Conn. Murphy has 38 years of electrical industry experience and 32 years with Hubbell in a variety of sales management, product marketing and general management roles. In this new position, Murphy will be responsible for the profitable growth of all Hubbell businesses including maximizing the strength of Hubbell brands with channel partners and end users of Hubbell products.Replacing Bob is Bill Tolley, group vice president, Hubbell Wiring Systems. Tolley was previously senior vice president, operations and administration at Wiring Systems. Tolley has strong operational expertise and an extensive financial background. He has been with Hubbell for six years in January. Prior to joining Hubbell, Tolley held positions of increasing responsibility with United Technologies.

The Schneider Electric North American Operating Division (Palatine, Ill.): Kristin Johnson-Holz has joined the management team as vice president of marketing. In her role, she will report to Chris Curtis, president of Schneider Electric USA, and is responsible for leading and coordinating the U.S. marketing offering and overseeing marketing performance management throughout the United States. Johnson-Holz has more than 11 years of executive experience in marketing and sales. Prior to joining Schneider Electric, she held several management positions at Grainger Inc., including senior director of marketing and advertising for Grainger Industrial Supply and marketing manager of national accounts and government.

Ideal Industries Inc. (Sycamore, Ill.): Aaron Mattison has been appointed as the company’s product manager for cutting tools. Mattison is a veteran of hardware sales, marketing and management on both the manufacturing and retail sides with brands ranging from Newell Rubbermaid to Indian Motorcycle, Ashland Hardware and Pella. In his new position, Mattison is responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales planning for Ideal’s professional-grade saws and drill bits used by electricians, maintenance crews and other contractors. Mattison comes to Ideal from Newell Rubbermaid where he served as product manager for Ashland Hardware Systems casement windows. Prior to that, he was technology leader for Anchor Harvey Components, and manager of manufacturing engineering for National Forge Co.

Electrical Wholesalers, a division of US Electrical Services (Stoughton, Mass.): Dennis L. Cook has joined the company as vice president of business development. Cook is an industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience. Most recently he was president of Bennett Electric in Quincy, Mass. In his new role, Cook will focus on continuing the rapid growth of the EW business in upper New England. EW has over the last 10 months opened nine new locations in the greater Boston area, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. In January of this year the company also opened a new 150,000-square-foot Central Distribution Center to service its growing business in the region.

Emerson (Quincy, Mass.): Craig W. Ashmore has been appointed to the company’s Office of Chief Executive (OCE). Also, Edward K. Feeney and Jay L. Geldmacher have been named executive vice presidents and will serve as business leaders for the Emerson Network Power platform. Ashmore, senior vice president for planning and development, manages Emerson’s strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate technology functions, as well as Emerson Network Power’s connectivity solutions business. He will join Emerson’s senior management team as the fifth member of the OCE. Prior to his current position, which he has held since 2004, Ashmore served as group vice president of Emerson Telecommunication Products and from 2001 to 2003 was vice president of corporate profit planning. Feeney, who had been senior vice president, heads Emerson Network Power’s Systems Group, which provides uninterruptible power, precision cooling, D/C power systems and comprehensive services for data center, computing and telecommunications customers around the world. Feeney began his career with Liebert as vice president of engineering in 1972 and held various executive positions at Liebert in domestic and international sales, international development, corporate development and corporate planning. After Liebert was acquired by Emerson in 1987, Feeney was promoted to president of Liebert North America in 1990. He later served as president of Liebert Worldwide and F.G. Wilson before being named a group vice president in 1999. Geldmacher, who had been group vice president, is president of Emerson Network Power’s Embedded Computing & Power Group. Geldmacher joined Emerson in January 1996.
