Philips Lighting Company, a division of Royal Philips Electronics (Somerset, N.J.): Robert A. Taylor has been appointed senior vice president and general manager of consumer lighting. In this role, he will oversee all aspects of consumer lighting market operations. In addition, Taylor is charged with furthering Philips Lighting’s current retail strategy and expanding the company’s relationships with food, drug and mass merchant retail outlets. This position represents a shift in Taylor’s responsibilities, having worked for Royal Philips Electronics for more than 10 years. Prior to becoming senior vice president, he was Norelco’s director of sales for two years before advancing to vice president of sales in 1991.

Quality Lighting, a division of the JJI Lighting Group Inc. (Franklin Park, Ill.): Brian Deady has been named director of sales. He has overall responsibility for sales and marketing of the company’s products throughout the United States and Canada. He served most recently as director of key distributor accounts for Cooper Lighting.
