Hagemeyer was recently recognized by Philips Lighting Co. for achieving the highest status in Philips’ “Green Leadership Program.” Philips Lighting’s Green Leadership Program recognizes electrical distributors who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to driving environmentally responsible, sustainable business through their business practices as well as the products and solutions they offer to their customers. In being selected for this award, Hagemeyer demonstrated its commitment to sustainability in five key areas: promotions, merchandising, training, selling and recycling.
Outstanding initiatives undertaken by the Hagemeyer team included extensive sales-force training in sustainable lighting solutions and their application to customer business, as well as outstanding activities designed to promote awareness of sustainable causes and increase the ease with which Hagemeyer customers can opt for “green” solutions. Proactive initiatives in the area of recycling were also a key component of the program in which Hagemeyer excelled.
