Philips Boosts Presence In Emergency Lighting Sector with Purchase Of Bodine
Royal Philips Electronics has acquired The Bodine Co., a Collierville, Tenn.-based manufacturer of emergency ballasts. The transaction is completed. No further financial details were disclosed.
Bodine will be fully integrated as a business unit within Philips Lighting, but their commercial activities will continue to be operated under the Bodine structure. Bodine’s revenue totaled $30 million in 2005.
