Schneider Electric acquires Indian digital meter manufacturer

Schneider Electric, Palatine, Ill., signed an agreement to acquire Conzerv Systems, a leader in energy efficiency solutions in the Indian market.

Schneider Electric, Palatine, Ill., signed an agreement to acquire Conzerv Systems, a leader in energy efficiency solutions in the Indian market. Conzerv caters to industrial and commercial power consumers and pioneered the design and manufacture of digital energy meters. It generates sales in $14 million and employs 337 people.

Russell Stocker, executive vice-president of Schneider Electric’s Asia-Pacific operating division. Conzerv Systems Pvt. Ltd. was originally incorporated as Enercon Systems Pvt. Ltd. in 1988. Pioneering design, development, and implementation of energy management systems for industrial applications, today Conzerv has grown into a turnkey power management hub, with three production facilities in India and a presence in four countries.
