National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) (Rossyln, Va.): Maryrose Sylvester was elected chairwoman of NEMA’s 2016 Board of Governors at its annual meeting last week. She is president and CEO of GE Lighting and Current, powered by GE, and is the first woman to head the nearly 90-year-old association.

Universal Lighting Technologies (Nashville, Tenn.): Ron Hall is the new OEM regional sales manager for the Southeastern region of the United States and will manage customers in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Leviton Manufacturing Co. Inc. (Melville, N.Y.): Daryoush Larizadeh has been named president, effective immediately. He will continue to serve as chief operating officer (COO). As president and COO, Larizadeh will manage all of the company’s operating units worldwide. He will continue to report directly to CEO Donald Hendler. Larizadeh, a 14-year veteran of Leviton, has been responsible for Leviton’s sales and operations globally since 2007. Today, Larizadeh oversees the company’s six business units, 13 manufacturing facilities and four market channels.
