NSi Industries, LLC (Huntersville, NC): David DiDonato is now COO and will report directly to CEO G.R. Schrotenboer. Prior to his new role at NSi Industries, he worked for Westinghouse, Rockwell Automation, Actuant, Ideal Industries’ Wire Termination Group, and Quick Cable Corp.
Lumileds (Royal Philips), (San Jose, CA). Mark Adams its now CEO of Lumileds. Adams most recently served as president of Micron Technology Inc. a Fortune 200 global manufacturer of advanced memory solutions, from 2012 to 2016. Between 2008 and 2012, Adams was vice president, Worldwide Sales at Micron. He also served in executive roles at Lexar Media Inc., Creative Labs Inc. and NCR Corporation. He received his BA in economics in 1987 from Boston College and his MBA in 1995 from Harvard University.
Winsupply Inc. (Dayton, OH): Roland Gordon is now CEO and retains his title as president of Winsupply. Jack Johnston recently stepped down from the executive leadership role after leading the company through successive years of record growth. Johnston remains a member of the Winsupply board of directors. Gordon, who was named president in 2016, has served in leadership roles at Winsupply for 18 years. Johnston joined Winsupply in 1977 as an accountant with Winsupply’s Group Services (WGS) unit, which provides complete shared business services for Winsupply local companies. Back then the corporation was an $84 million company. Today, Winsupply has $2.7 billion in total revenue, and its Electrical business unit is ranked #33 on Electrical Wholesaling’s 2016 Top 200. Johnston also served as WGS treasurer and company CFO, and was promoted to president in July 2011 and CEO in 2015.
Gordon joined Winsupply in 1999 as a manager with WGS in Reno, NV. From Reno, Gordon took a position as the risk manager with WGS in Dayton. Following Winsupply’s acquisition of Noland Co. in 2005, Gordon was appointed its CFO and liaison to the subsidiary. He was named CFO of Winsupply in Aug. 2011 and promoted to president of Winsupply in Jan. 2016.
EiKO Global LLC (Shawnee, KS): CEO Gary Withers retired on Dec. 31 and at that time Rick Laird, who had been EiKO’s president, assumed the role of president/CEO. Under Withers’ 33 years of leadership, EiKO grew from a small family business to a global lighting manufacturer with offices on three continents. Withers will continue to serve in a consulting role and board member of EiKO Global.
Laird began his career in the lighting business at Philips Lighting in 1990, moved to Osram Sylvania in 1995, and joined EiKO in 2007. During his career, he has spent time in several different roles in product development, sales/marketing and business unit management. Laird became EiKO president in 2012.
Summit Electric Supply (Albuquerque, NM): David Meeks has joined the company’s leadership team as V.P. of supply chain operations. Meeks was recently the integration project manager and region operations and supply chain manager for Hagemeyer North America IDG, an indirect industrial supplier that now operates as Vallen Distribution. Meeks served on the corporate operations team and was project manager for the overall operations merger of Hagemeyer North America and IDG, which included gap analysis of processes and software between the two enterprise resource planning systems. He will report to Summit’s chairman and CEO Victor Jury Jr. and be based out of Summit’s Houston, TX offices.
Meeks will manage Summit’s service center logistics as well as the company’s quality management system The Summit Way. He’ll also oversee Summit’s central replenishment, purchasing, inventory management, and rebate administration. He began his career with Cameron & Barkley Co., the electrical and industrial distributor acquired by Hagemeyer, and quickly advanced from the warehouse into numerous positions in sales before eventually leading branch and operations management. In his recent roles at Vallen, Meeks directed operations and supply chain for multiple regions.
Technical Consumer Products, Inc. (TCP) (Aurora, OH): The company has named Brian Catlett as CEO and Zachary Guzy as CFO, and said that Ellis Yan and Solomon Yan have resigned from TCP’s board of directors, according to report on Bill Attardi’s EnergyWatch blog. Said the post, “As previously disclosed, the company is working diligently to implement remedial actions that will allow the completion and filing of its financial statements for the years ended Dec. 31, 2016 and 2015, and the outstanding quarterly periods therein, as expeditiously as possible. The company’s recently completed Audit Committee investigation found, among other things, that actions related to certain payments by Ellis Yan and related party transactions involving Ellis Yan and Solomon Yan resulted in a material weakness in the effectiveness of the company’s internal control over financial reporting.”
