Electrical People: New CEO of Cadet Mfg

Also new west region VP for Omni Cable, and new members of Buckles-Smith sales management team.

Omni Cable Corp. (West Chester, Pa.): Allen Henry is now the company’s Western regional V.P. and will manage Omni Cable’s Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle locations.  He has more than 15 years of industry experience.

Glen Dimplex Group (Cambridge, Ontario): Hutch Johnson has taken on the dual-role as CEO of Cadet Manufacturing and interim CEO of Dimplex North America, effective Sept. 24. Glen Dimplex acquired Cadet Manufacturing last month.

Johnson, who has served as president of Cadet since 1998, brings more than 40 years of experience to his CEO roles with Glen Dimplex, including 18 years in the electric heat industry and 25 years in the electrical distribution channel. Johnson will report directly to Fergal Naughton, CEO of Glen Dimplex, an Irish company that’s said to be the world’s largest manufacturer of electrical heating. Dimplex North America manufactures electric fireplaces, media consoles, wall-mounts, electric heat, baseboards, and stoves.

Buckles-Smith Electric (San Jose, Calif.): Christopher Dean and Kevin Machi have joined the company’s sales management team. Dean has joined Buckles-Smith as territory manager for the North Bay and Machi is now territory manager for the East Bay.  Prior to joining Buckles-Smith, Dean was branch manager for Grainger in San Francisco and the territory manager for both Osram Sylvania and Shat-R-Shield calling on Buckles-Smith. Machi comes back to Buckles-Smith after a 10-year hiatus. During his time away he worked as an account manager and Rockwell Automation specialist for Royal San Leandro, and most recently as regional manager for Dialight.
