WireMasters acquires Wyre Tek

April 8, 2015
The addition of Wyre Tek to the WireMasters family will provide advanced products and value-added services throughout the aerospace and defense industries.

WireMasters Inc., Columbia, Tenn., recently purchased Wyre Tek, Cranston, R.I. The addition of Wyre Tek to the WireMasters family will provide advanced products and value-added services throughout the aerospace and defense industries. WireMasters currently holds Qualified Producer List (QPL) status for unshielded and unjacketed (U00) cables within the military cable specification M27500.

By acquiring Wyre Tek and their extensive QPL positions, WireMasters can now manufacture more cables within M27500 and produce cables with tape wrapped jackets and braided shields, as well as non-QPL certified cables with similar jackets and shielding such as the M55021 specification.

In addition to these manufacturing capabilities, WireMasters will establish an inventory presence at the Wyre Tek facility to better serve its customers located in the Northeast region. Wyre Tek was founded by the late Kerry Patterson and has served the wire and cable industry for more than 20 years.
