June marks the third consecutive month in which NEMA’s Electroindustry Business Conditions Index (EBCI) improved. The current conditions index increased from May’s reading of 53.3 points to reach 59.4 in June. The EBCI for future conditions improved as well, bumping up to 59.4 points in June from 56.7 points last month.
The EBCI Index is a monthly survey of senior execs at electrical manufacturers published by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), Rosslyn, Va. Any score over the 50-point level indicates a greater number of panelists see conditions improving than see them deteriorating.
