John Robert Chambers, former principal of Chambers Electrical Sales and later Chambers Inc., died May 13. He was 69 years old. He formed Chambers Electrical Sales, a manufacturers’ rep firm in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in 1968, and became a member of the National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association (NEMRA) in 1974. Chambers left the rep business in 1982 to work as U.S. sales manager for Kraloy Fittings, division of Ipex, London, Ontario. After working for Kraloy, he returned to the rep business. In 1989, he formed Chambers Inc., Clive, Iowa. During his career, Chambers was also a sales manager for Eagle Electric, Long Island City, N.Y. Chambers is survived by his son, John L. Chambers; one brother, Leslie Chambers; and two grandchildren.
