USESI (Exton, Pa.): Randy Eddy, a regional vice president for Consolidated Electrical Distributors (CED), Westlake Village, Calif., will replace Richard Worthy as USESI’s senior executive, effective Nov. 1. Worthy built USESI over the past four years into a major player in the eastern U.S. through a series of acquisitions and funding from Michael Dell’s MSD, a venture capital firm. He sold USESI to CED in 2007 and is reportedly leaving the company amicably.
Crescent Electric Supply Co. (East Dubuque, Ill.): Dennis DeSousa, formerly senior V.P. of U.S. business for Graybar Electric Co., St. Louis, has joined Crescent Electric Supply as senior V.P. of business development. In his new role, DeSousa will focus on growing Crescent’s market share through targeted acquisitions and organic growth strategies.
Emerson Electric (St. Louis): Edward Monser was named to the additional position of president. Monser has served as chief operating officer (COO) of Emerson since November 2001 and has worked with the company for more than 25 years. David Farr remains as chairman and CEO.
Coleman Cable Inc. (Waukegan, Ill.): Howard Strauss has rejoined Coleman Cable as V.P., Wire & Cable Distribution, to lead the company’s efforts in the wire and cable and security home technology business units. Strauss has 25 years of industrial and low-voltage wire and cable experience, including various sales, marketing and business development posts at Lake Cable, Genesis Cable and Houston Wire and Cable.
Service Wire Co. (Culloden, W.Va.): David Mills has joined the company’s sales team in Phoenix. He brings 18 years of sales experience in the electrical industry, including 10 years as a regional sales manager for a wiring device company. During his career, Mills was named electrical vendor of the year by Handy Hardware, Leight Sales and California Hardware.
ConEdison Solutions (Denver): Paul Engle will serve as director of sales for Colorado. He most recently served as an account executive for Ennovate Corp. of Aurora, Colo., where he qualified and developed energy performance contracting projects with state and local governments in Colorado and Nebraska. Engle also has experience with The Energy Group Inc. of Des Moines, Iowa, the contracted consulting firm for the state’s largest utility company, MidAmerican Energy. At that post he helped launch MidAmerican Energy’s BusinessCheck energy audit program.
ConEdison Solutions’ energy services clients around the nation include government facilities, universities, public school districts and hospitals. The company delivers energy services to many of its customers through energy savings performance contracts (ESPC), which allow clients to replace old, inefficient, high-maintenance equipment with new state-of-the-art energy-efficient equipment without investing capital or assuming budgetary risk.
Westinghouse Lighting (Philadelphia): Patrick Levis has been hired as regional sales manager for the company’s western U.S. operations. He has more than 20 years of sales experience in the consumer marketplace. Levis’ past experience includes positions with Hunter Fan, Philips Lighting and Amerlux Lighting Solutions.
Platt Electric Supply (Beaverton, Ore): Jeff Auter has been appointed V.P. of the company’s Western Washington Region. He has been with Platt for more than 17 years and will be responsible for overseeing Platt’s current 20 branches in western Washington. Auter is a graduate of Washington State University.
Schneider Electric (Palatine, Ill.): The company made several key executive appointments as part of its strategy to become a global energy management specialist. Allen Breeze has been appointed senior V.P., U.S. Power Business, and will manage the company’s residential, electrical contractor and distributor relationships and its power product technologies in the U.S., including its new electric vehicle charging station and Efficient Home offerings. Don Rickey, senior V. P., will manage the company’s new U.S. Energy business and be responsible for its utilities and oil and gas end-user segments. James Potach, senior V. P., will manage the U.S. Energy Solutions business’ strategy of bringing its expertise in energy consulting and performance contracting to new markets. Mike Rice, senior V.P., will lead the U.S. Projects & Services business unit and focus on providing one point of contact across the company’s entire solutions offering, from UPS systems to building automation, power and automation systems.
