Robert W. Grubbs will retire as Anixter International Inc. president and chief executive officer at the end of June.

Anixter International Inc. (Glenview, Ill.): Robert W. Grubbs will retire as president and chief executive officer at the end of June. He will be succeeded by Chief Operating Officer Robert Eck. Eck has been head of operations since September 2007. He has been with Anixter for 17 years. Grubbs worked 30 years for Anixter and has served as president and chief executive since 1998. Grubbs will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors.

Allied Wire & Cable (Collegeville, Pa.): Bill Hanisch, a long-time wire and cable industry professional, joined the Wisconsin branch of Allied Wire & Cable as a sales representative in January. Hanisch possesses 28 years of experience in the electrical wire business.

W2 Architectural Lighting, a division of W.A.C. Lighting (Garden City, N.Y.): Anna Schast has been appointed regional sales manager. In her new position, Schast will work closely with W2 sales agencies to create specification lighting solutions for architects, designers, engineers and specifiers in all states East of the Mississippi River in the United States, as well as Eastern Canada.

ILSCO (Cincinnati): Randy Shelley has been promoted to product specialist.Shelley will be responsible for data certification for both ILSCO and UTILCO brands, including all product attributes critical to databases, catalogs, web sites, IDEA and IDW. Pam Federle has been promoted to quotations analyst for the ILSCO brand of electrical connectors. Federle has five years of experience in customer service and order entry.
