Consolidated Electrical Distributors (CED), Irving, Texas, completed its acquisition of SEFCO Electric Supply, Jackson, Miss., on Oct. 19, according to a press release from Randall Kuchenmeister of Electrical Distributor Consulting, Shelby Township, Mich., a specialist in mergers and acquisitions in the electrical market. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
SEFCO Electric Supply (Second Effort Company) was established in 1988 to service central Mississippi and gives “contiguous coverage” to the Southeast region for CED, according to the press release. Over the past few years Electrical Distributor Consulting has also been involved with the sale of Davis Wholesale Electric, North Hollywood, Calif., to CED; US Electrical Services’ purchase of Warren Electric Supply, Queensbury, N.Y.; and Green Mountain’s Electric Supply’s acquisition of two branches in upstate New York from Allied Electric, Cobleskill, N.Y.
