Synergy Electrical Sales merges with Electric Lighting Agencies

Established in 1955, Electric Lighting Agencies Inc. has more than 45 employees across two locations.

Synergy Electrical Sales, Fairless Hills, PA, merged with Electric Lighting Agencies, Inc. (ELA), New York, forming ELA+Synergy, according to a blog post on the Synergy web site. The post said, “This union creates one of the largest agencies in New York metro, New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware.”
“ELA+Synergy is more than just the unification of two businesses. It represents the joining of two complementary cultures, paving the way for a new era of collaboration, innovation, and shared expertise. This holistic expansion will bridge specification and supply businesses, eventually splitting into two distinct brands under one roof: ELA + Synergy on the specification side and Synergy Electrical Sales on the distribution side.

In other news at Synergy Electrical Sales, the company now represents Signify’s Genlyte Solutions portfolio of professional luminaires and lighting control systems in the New York metro and northern New Jersey areas. The Genlyte Solutions brands include Interact; Philips Dynalite; Chloride, Day-Brite, Ledalite and Lightolier for indoor applications; and Gardco, Hadco, Lumec and Stonco for outdoor applications. 
Synergy has repped Signify’s Philips lamps and Advance ballasts in New York since 2021. Synergy and Signify also expanded their partnership into professional luminaires and lighting control systems in the Philadelphia region in 2023. This extension into New York and northern New Jersey reflects Synergy’s commitment to deliver lighting solutions to the electrical distribution and design communities.
