Electrical Price Index Has a Quiet Month in August 2018

Electrical Marketing’s Electrical Price Index (EPI), appears to be settling down a bit. In August, the EPI was only up +0.1% month-to-month and up +2.2% on a year-over-year YOY) basis. That’s the smallest YOY increase we have seen in several months.

Building Wire & Cable (+1.3%) was the only product category showing an increase of more than one percent. Conduit Fittings (-1.2%) and Circuit Breakers (-1.1%) were down the most in August.
