Hubbell Inc., Orange, Conn., acquired closely held PCORE Electric Co. Inc. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Based in LeRoy, N.Y., PCORE is an independent manufacturer of high-voltage condenser bushings. These products are used in the electric utility infrastructure to provide safe passage of electricity into and out of transformers. PCORE products cover applications from 15,000V to 500,000V.
“PCORE is an exceptional addition to Hubbell’s Power Systems segment,” said Timothy Powers, president and CEO of Hubbell Inc. “With the capability to manufacture more than 2,500 designs, certified supplier status to every utility in the U.S. and Canada, and its leading brand name in a growing market, it will substantially contribute to future growth.”
