Turtle & Hughes again a top woman-owned business

Turtle & Hughes Inc., Linden, N.J., earned the number one spot on NJ Biz Lists 2010 Top Women-Owned Businesses in New Jersey. The list, which was released in December, ranked 151 New Jersey-based companies across all industries based on 2009 revenue. Turtle & Hughes has been among the top 50 women-owned businesses of any kind nationwide for more than a decade. Third-generation owner Suzanne Millard currently serves as Turtle & Hughes’ chairperson. In 2010, she turned the day-to-day operations over to her daughter, CEO Jayne Millard, who joined Turtle & Hughes in 1991 as vice president of marketing and has served as its president since 2009.
