Schaedler Yesco Distribution Inc., Harrisburg, Pa., was recently named as one of Pennsylvania’s best places to work.
The award program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Pennsylvania, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses.
“One of the reasons Schaedler Yesco is such a great place to work is that a generous portion of the company’s profits are divided among employees in a stock ownership program,” said Joe Ritrievi, branch manager. “It gives each person a sense of ownership, pride and accountability and is associated with our success.”
In determining the winners, a two-part evaluation process included an assessment of each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part included the Great Place to Work Trust Index Survey, submitted by more than 18,000 Pennsylvania employees, through which survey results and individual comments were calculated.
Schaedler Yesco was honored at the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania awards ceremony Nov. 30. With 129 employees, four branches and $51.8 million in 2003 sales, Schaedler Yesco was listed No. 101 on Electrical Wholesaling’s most recent Top 200 list.
