The National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) has received a $250,000 commitment by Siemens Energy and Automation Inc. to the NAED Education & Research Foundation.
“SE&A is very proud of our long association with NAED and appreciative of the efforts of the association to enhance and evolve our industry. Of the many ways NAED adds value, the Education & Research Foundation provides a critical platform for securing our industry environment today and in the future. Our contribution reflects Siemens’ belief in the importance of the foundation,” said Aubert Martin, president & CEO of Siemens Energy & Automation Inc. in Alpharetta, Ga.
With its U.S. corporate headquarters in New York City, Siemens in the United States has sales of $16.6 billion and employs 70,000 people throughout all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
The company’s donation will become part of an endowment fund for the NAED Education & Research Foundation. The principal amount of the endowment will remain untouched, while the interest will be used to commission future projects and studies. As a $250,000 donor, Siemens will be recognized at the guarantor level and have a permanent position on the Channel Advantage Partnership Council, which will help select future educational programs and research projects.
