After signing a successful partnership with the Boston Red Sox to supply lighting equipment for Fenway Park, Granite City Electric Supply Co., Quincy, Mass., has inked a long-term deal with the New England Patriots that designates Granite City Electric as the “Official Distributor of Electrical Supplies” to the Patriots and Gillette Stadium.
Granite City Electric will provide the lighting and electrical equipment for Gillette Stadium, home of the three-time Super Bowl champions. The partnership also authorizes Granite City Electric to use the Patriots logo for advertising. In addition, Granite City will have stadium signage and a Jumbotron feature, which will expose Granite City Electric to the sold-out stadium’s 68,756 fanatical Patriots’ fans.
Steve Helle, Granite City Electric’s president and COO said, “We’re proud to say that once again Granite City has landed an incredible partnership with another championship sports team. First the Red Sox, now the New England Patriots. We think it will open a lot of doors for our company and at the same time help us expand our brand to our target market.”
Helle and Phyllis Godwin, the company’s chairman and CEO, are delighted with the exposure their partnership with the Boston Red Sox offered and believe the company’s partnership with the Patriots will be equally successful. The Granite City Electric logo was featured prominently this season on Fenway Park’s 46-foot tall left-field wall, the famed Green Monster, and was seen by the nearly 3 million fans who attended games at Fenway this year, as well as the millions of other fans who watched Red Sox games on New England Sports Network (NESN) and nationally broadcast games.
