Cooper Industries recently opened a Long Island distribution center for its Cooper B-Line brand of products. The new distribution center is located on the campus of the Cooper Lighting manufacturing plant in Hicksville, N.Y., to which Cooper Lighting moved in 2004 when it consolidated two New York area plants.
“This manufacturing and distribution facility provides Cooper Lighting and Cooper B-Line with the added capability to deliver products into the New York metropolitan market,” said Kirk Hachigian, president and chief operating officer, Cooper Industries. “It also offers capacity for our other electrical products divisions to expand penetration into this important region.”
The new distribution center will stock strut, cable tray and fasteners. Cooper B-Line manufactures support systems and enclosures serving mechanical, electrical and telecommunications industries.
The Cooper Lighting facility manufactures Atlite and Neo-Ray products. Atlite markets emergency, exit and downlighting luminaries, and Neo-Ray supplies architectural lighting for educational, office and corporate environments.
