Legrand Acquires Power Bus Way
Eye Lighting International, Mentor, Ohio, and Cimcon Lighting, Westford, Mass., said they’ve signed a sales and marketing agreement that will have the two companies cooperating on outdoor lighting systems, covering both luminaires and controls. Both companies will be able to sell the complete system under the agreement.
Eye Lighting makes LED luminaires and HID lamps, and concentrates on utility, commercial and institutional markets with its Aphos and KairoLED brands. Cimcon Lighting is a maker of wireless outdoor lighting controls, particularly for roadway and parking applications. Cimcon recently introduced a new control system called LightingGale, which offers dimming, switching, metering, diagnostics and web-based real-time management and reporting.
By marketing the two together, the companies expect to accelerate growth for both. “The combined appeal of two strong product lines will find traction with utility managers, ESCOs, contractors, facility managers and lighting professionals,” said Tom Salpietra, president and chief operating officer of Eye Lighting.
