Jan. 4, 2019
US Lamp specializes in the design and implementation of high-performance lighting and controls solutions for commercial/industrial customers.

Werner Electric Supply, Appleton, WI, announced the acquisition of US Lamp, a wholesale lighting distributor located in Green Bay, WI.

US Lamp specializes in the design and implementation of high-performance lighting and controls solutions for commercial/industrial customers.

“We are bringing together two companies who are committed to providing customers with top-of-the-line products, services, and support,” Scott Teerlinck, president of Werner Electric, said. “This is an exciting opportunity for Werner Electric as we continue to position ourselves in the electrical distribution market, to drive future growth.”

US Lamp president Randy Johnson will remain with the company and provide lighting design, project management support, and to teach lighting technology classes for Werner Electric customers.

“This acquisition is an excellent fit for US Lamp since both companies share the same passion and philosophy to provide high performance, value-added solutions, and technical expertise to customers,” Johnson said. “Werner Electric’s reputation in the industry, capability of its employees, breadth of product offerings, and coverage throughout Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula will enhance the services which US Lamp has been offering to our customers for the past 37 years.”

Johnson brings 35 years of lighting experience and serves on the industry advisory committee for the Design Lights Consortium.
