Evolution Lighting Acquires Electrix

Evolution Lighting LLC and its investor partner Boyne Capital Partners have purchased the assets of Electrix Inc., as of July 31, 2014. Electrix will be renamed Electrix, LLC. “Our plans are to invest in the business to develop more innovative architectural lighting products, grow our LED capabilities, and make our customer service the best in the industry,” said an Electrix press release.

Evolution Lighting LLC and its investor partner Boyne Capital Partners have purchased the assets of Electrix Inc., as of July 31, 2014. Electrix will be renamed Electrix, LLC.

“Our plans are to invest in the business to develop more innovative architectural lighting products, grow our LED capabilities, and make our customer service the best in the industry,” said an Electrix press release.

Evolution Lighting, Miami, Fla., is a designer and distributor of residential and hospitality lighting products. Products include portable lamps, task lights, track lighting, recessed lighting and decorative hardwire lighting fixtures. Evolution’s products have incandescent, halogen, energy saving fluorescent, and LED capabilities.

Electrix makes a variety of lighting products including an LED cove lighting system called LumiLedge, as well as linear LEDs and task lighting. Mark Lahner will be directing the company as president and general manager to continue building on the strengths of the Electrix brand, the company said.
