LED lighting manufacturer Forest Lighting, Atlanta, a subsidiary of MLS, which recently added Osram's Ledvance to its global lighting business, is adding controls to its own lighting packages with an agreement to sell EnOcean lighting controls when customer applications require dimming, daylight harvesting, and similar control opportunities. EnOcean’s product lines include energy-harvesting wireless technologies that don’t require batteries or wired power to do their job.
EnOcean controls will be broadly applied in Forest Lighting’s new LED troffers, LED flat panels and other lighting fixtures which are in great demand in commercial, institutional, and retail markets, Forest Lighting said in a release. The company pointed out that both retrofit and new construction projects are seeing rapid growth in lighting control systems.
“We are pleased to be aligned with EnOcean and have access to the new global standard in lighting control technology,” said Jian Ni, president and COO of Forest Lighting in North America. “I expect this alliance will further contribute to Forest Lighting’s rapid growth.”
