EPI Drops -1.6% YOY in January

While EM's Electrical Price Index rose +0.5% in January, its largest monthly increase since July 2023, the year-over-year (YOY) data came in -1.6% below Jan. 2023. The historical averages for these two electrical price indicators are a +0.2% monthly increase and a +2.6% YOY increase. Pole-Line Hardware (-1.3%) and Boxes (-1.6%) had the largest monthly declines, while Circuit Breakers (+5.1%) were up the most.
