DiversiTech Corp. Acquires Morris Products

DiversiTech Corp., a manufacturer and supplier of HVACR parts and accessories, has purchased Morris Products Inc., Queensbury, N.Y., a family-owned supplier and manufacturer of electrical and lighting products sold to electrical distributors. Under terms of the agreement, Morris will retain its name and operate independently as a DiversiTech company.

The acquisition gives DiversiTech an additional channel to market beyond its core vertical of HVAC wholesalers. The two companies will pursue cross-channel manufacturing and marketing opportunities, expanding the basket of products offered into each wholesale channel, said a DiversiTech release.  Morris President Jeff Schwartz will continue to run the company with all current employees and the company’s existing sales force.
