Madison Electric Products (Cleveland): Electrical industry veteran Dave Maccarone joins the company as V.P. of business development, bringing nearly 30 years of experience. He holds nine U.S. patents and is responsible for the creation of products such as lighting controls, Carlon boxes and conduit systems.
He launched his company Vantage Technologies Inc. in 1988, and sold it four years later to Lamson & Sessions/Carlon. Most recently he worked for ABB/Thomas & Betts, which acquired Lamson & Sessions in 2007, and was responsible for residential market growth. Maccarone is a member of the Electrical League of Ohio, serves as Chairman for the Residential Standards Committee Emerge Alliance, and has served as an industry partner and committee member of Independent Electrical Contractors.
Sonepar USA (Charleston S.C.): Mark Linder joined the Sonepar USA senior management team as the new V.P. of eCommerce and Digital Marketing, effective Feb. 23. Linder will manage all aspects of the eCommerce initiative, including strategy, prioritization and implementation. He will also be responsible for data management and digital marketing in support of eCommerce. Linder comes to Sonepar USA from HD Supply Facilities Maintenance Division, where he was Senior Director of e-Business.
Shealy Electrical Wholesalers (Columbia, S.C.): Steve Freiburger recently joined the company as Product Segment – Sales Vice President (SVP) for Engineered Products. He has a mechanical engineering degree from Valparaiso University. Freiburger began a career in sales with Schneider Electric and over the past 26 years has held a number of sales and sales management positions, most recently as the area Sales manager for the Columbia area.
Under this new structure, Freiburger will report directly to David White and will join Danny Culicerto (SVP - Commodities) and Bill Hurd (SVP – Lighting and Controls) as a Product Segment - Sales Vice President with responsibility for engineered products, including power distribution, motor control, automation and a number of key important product lines.
AEMC Instruments (Foxborough, Mass.): Chris Glowacki has been appointed to the new position of Western District sales engineer. He will be responsible for sales covering the western territory (California, Washington, Oregon, Idaho Alaska and western Canada). Glowacki will be based out of the Portland, Ore., area and will report directly to Tim Cowgill, Western Regional sales manager. He joins AEMC with over 30 years’ technical experience as a field applications engineer and a degree in electrical engineering.
ABB (Memphis, Tenn.): Dave Sterlace, market development manager, data centers and critical power, at ABB, was elected chair of the U.S. Marketing Work Group for The Green Grid Association, where he will advise and execute internal and external marketing and public relations efforts. Sterlace’s ABB colleague, Marina Thiry, director, strategic marketing, data centers, nominated him for the position.
