May's EPI Jumps +1.5%

June 27, 2024

Electrical Marketing's Electrical Price Index (EPI)   marched distinctly higher into territory not seen since early 2023 with a +1.5% monthly increase over April.
A larger portion of the increase can be traced to wire and cable, where Building Wire & Cable increased +6.4% for the month and Power Wire & Cable was up +4.5%. Telephone equipment (+4.8%) was also up big. None of the product categories saw notable declines.
